One church vision Plan

We want to be a people who
listen for God and respond.

It is who we’ve been and who we want to be. That is what our One Church initiative is about. Leaders at Woodmont and New Garden have both pursued God, listened, and feel invited to come together as one church in two locations.

We are so excited for this.

We are planning for the future in four phases. In each phase we will keep our people, our church, and our mission in view while we ask a crucial question to focus our actions.

  • Woodmont will lean in. We work to become one church in two locations who encourage, challenge, and share with one another as we pursue God, and love each other.

    Focus:
    - How do we become one church in two locations who spur one another on towards Mission & Health?

    • Shared leadership at both campuses

    • Pastoral engagement for all families (Shepherding Couples)

    • Increase serving together across Nashville through Love Engaged

  • Woodmont will learn. We will reflect on what we’re becoming and learning. We desire to be a healthy, missional church across Nashville making plans for the next steps of engaging our communities.

    Focus:
    - How is it going?

    • Measure growth in missional opportunities

    • Assess organizational health (Spiritual, financial, etc.)

    • Plan initiatives for future healthDescription text goes here

  • Woodmont will look for God on the move in God’s world. We will listen for, partner with, and pursue the Spirit into all places, even the risky ones. We will love God by pursuing God’s promised and preferred future in our communities.

    Focus:
    - What future thriving should we aim for?

    • Commission missional groups

    • Listen deeply in our communities

    • Experiment with new missional opportunities

  • Woodmont will live it out what we’ve discerned God calling us to. We will step into new horizons that have emerged because of God’s faithfulness as we desire to love God and neighbor. This is how we Love God, Love Each Other and Love The World.

    Focus:
    - What new missional horizons have come into view that we will pursue?

    • Take action on new missional initiatives.

    • Grow in health and engagement.
