The Youth and Family Ministry at the Family of God at Woodmont Hills exists to honor God and His plan for the spiritual development of students in grades 7 – 12 and to support each family’s efforts to encourage and nurture the spiritual development of students by providing:

Opportunities for meaningful relationships with peers and adult leaders

Meaningful worship experiences

Opportunities for community service

Opportunities for experiential learning

Opportunities for students to use their spiritual gifts in ministry

The Youth and Family Ministry utilizes the giftedness of special adult volunteers called Lifeguards. Lifeguards provide the spiritual leadership for our small groups called Life Groups. Our Lifeguards serve as discussion leaders of each Life Group and provide leadership according to interest and giftedness for most all of our ministry opportunities that occur throughout the year. At a ratio of one Lifeguard for every 5 – 8 students, our Lifeguards are available for students to contact when they need individual support and encouragement. Each Life Group functions as its own youth group with numbers large enough to provide for peer relationships and small enough for each individual to participate and be known.
