Jason began work­ing full-​time with Wood­mont Hills in 2002. Before that he served as a vol­un­teer and intern in the stu­dent min­istry. He grad­u­ated from Lip­scomb Uni­ver­sityand has taught high school. Jason and his wife Rachel a son Jax, a boxer and a cat. Jason likes the out­doors, sports, surf­ing, snow­board­ing, play­ing gui­tar, bik­ing, being in dif­fer­ent cul­tures, BBQ ribs, authenticity and cof­fee. He does not like neat­ness, ani­mals dressed as peo­ple, movie stars or Starbucks.

Dean has been mar­ried for fif­teen years to his wife Melanie, an ele­men­tary school teacher and a reg­u­lar par­tic­i­pant in Children’s min­istry and Women’s min­istry, although she views her pri­mary area of ser­vice to be their three won­der­ful chil­dren: Chris­tine, David, and Luke. Orig­i­nally natives of Vir­ginia, Dean and Melanie enjoy a vari­ety of inter­ests includ­ing any­thing out­doors, read­ing, art, movies and the the­atre. Dean is also a sports fanatic and a die-​hard fan of a cer­tain NFL foot­ball team in Dal­las. Before join­ing the Wood­mont fam­ily, Dean served as the cam­pus min­is­ter for the Broad­way Church of Christ in Lub­bock, Texas and also taught and preached reg­u­larly there. He was also an instruc­tor in Bible and Cam­pus Min­istry at Lub­bock Chris­t­ian Uni­ver­sity. Before enter­ing min­istry, Dean earned a law degree from the Uni­ver­sity of Vir­ginia and prac­ticed civil lit­i­ga­tion and con­sti­tu­tional law. His pas­sion in min­istry is to com­mis­sion God’s peo­ple to tell the story of a Man who wouldn’t stay dead.

Doug Berny and his wife Tra­cie, with their three chil­dren, Blake, Hannah, and Abi­gail moved to Nashville in August 2000 to begin work with our Youth, Fam­ily and Stu­dent Min­istries. Doug and Tra­cie are native Tex­ans and both grad­u­ates of Texas A&M Uni­ver­sity. Doug has worked with teens and their fam­i­lies for more than 18 years. Doug and Tra­cie share a wide vari­ety of inter­ests from clas­si­cal music and the­ater arts to a love of the out­doors and enjoy hunt­ing, fish­ing, back pack­ing, bik­ing and camp­ing. Tra­cie is a full-​time mom, part-​time real­tor and directs the youth musi­cal in the stu­dent min­istry. Doug dis­likes burnt orange and the lit­tle school in Austin, and his favorite color is maroon.

Joan is a Nashville native and has been a part of the Wood­mont Hills fam­ily since 1973 (Waverly-​Belmont days). She joined the min­istry staff in 1988 in a part-​time role as coor­di­na­tor of Elderly Home Care. In 1991 she became the full-​time Car­ing Min­is­ter – a com­bi­na­tion role of com­mu­nity ser­vice and out­reach, assis­tance to fam­ily mem­bers, Senior Saints and Women’s Min­istry. Joan was mar­ried for 22 years to Garry Ran­dolph until his death in 1991. She has three chil­dren, Brooks, Scott and Amanda Ran­dolph. She mar­ried Ralph Gre­gory in 1995 and now has a step­daugh­ter, Leah, and two grand­chil­dren. She loves prim­i­tive antiques and New England.

Mered­ith and her fam­ily moved to Nashville from Texas in 1993. She has been on staff in sev­eral dif­fer­ent roles since Jan­u­ary of 1994 and has worked as Involve­ment and Com­mu­ni­ca­tion Min­is­ter since Jan­u­ary of 1999. She and her hus­band, Dale, have a daugh­ter, Michal and two sons, Seth and Josh and a grand­son, Taylor.

Suzanne joined the staff full-​time in June of 1999. Before begin­ning work with our Children’s Min­istry, Suzanne worked with chil­dren in a vari­ety of ways – she has taught chil­dren in the mis­sion field, served as a full-​time nanny and taught at David Lip­scomb Ele­men­tary School.

Terry and his fam­ily came to Nashville in 1994 to work with Wood­mont Hills. He and his wife Char­lotte have four daugh­ters and seven grand­chil­dren. Terry served in cam­pus min­istry for 10 years – Uni­ver­sity of Mem­phis and Hard­ing Uni­ver­sity , 10 years in met­ro­pol­i­tan Boston direct­ing the Resources for Life Cen­ter and five years direct­ing a Fam­ily Resources and Coun­sel­ing Cen­ter in Searcy, Arkansas . He stud­ied at Ole Miss, Hard­ing Uni­ver­sity and Boston Uni­ver­sity with a B.A., M.A., and M.Th. from Hard­ing Uni­ver­sity and a doc­tor­ate from Boston Uni­ver­sity in Per­son­al­ity, Reli­gion and Cul­ture. He pro­vides pas­toral coun­sel­ing, life coach­ing and lead­er­ship devel­op­ment for small groups. “I love the vision ‘the larger we are the smaller we must become’.
