Children

One of the best things about Woodmont Hills is our Children’s Ministry. Classes and Praise Times are offered for children from age 6 months through sixth grade. Visit the Children’s information desk to register, check in, and find out where your child can go. Bible classes are offered at the same times as our Sunday assemblies. On Wednesday evening children’s classes are offered at 6:30. Your children are always welcome to stay with you during the services.

On Thursday nights at 9:00 during our school year college students gather in the great hall for Sanctuary, a time of worship and prayer for Nashville college students. On Wednsday nights at 6:30 college students gather for a time of conversation, scripture, prayer, service, community and coffee in room 203.

What to Expect on Sunday

Praise and Worship

Worship begins with music. The words to the songs appear on the large screens up front. Everyone is invited to join in singing. The singers on the stage are there to lead us.

Prayer and Visitor Cards

You’ll find a prayer card and a visitor card in your seat back. You can fill these out and share with us any special prayer requests, needs, or questions that you might have. Then pass it to the end of the isles when it is called for or place the card in the collection basket when it’s passed.

Communion

We celebrate communion every weekend. Communion is a time when we remember Christ’s life and sacrificial death for our sins. All believers are invited to join us. First the bread will be passed. Take a portion and as you eat, remember Christ’s life and sacrifice. Next the tray with small cups of grape juice will be distributed. Take a cup and drink the juice, remembering Christ’s blood. Replace the empty cup in the tray. We do not hold the elements and wait to take them together at one time.

Offering

As our guest, you should not feel obligated to give an offering. This part of the service is for those who have committed to give back to God through tithes and offering so that we can participate in God’s work.

Sermon

The lesson from the Bible helps us to understand God’s word and apply His teachings to our everyday life.

Family Matters /Announcements

This is a time when information is shared with everyone. There is never enough time to cover everything so be sure to look in Life Together (this is our weekly information that is handed to you as you walk in)
